Not one of the winners actually came to collect their item, or pay for it. This is extremely annoying and a complete waste of my time. I don’t mean to be harsh, I’m just sick of being messed about. Here for sale is my beloved P38 Range Rover. The good bits I’ve just (less than 1000 miles ago) installed, at a cost of about a grand, a professional coil conversion lift kit which is awesome. The ride is just as nice as on airbags but the airbags were a pain so I converted it to coil so would never have to worry about them again. It has given it a nice lift which looks great and improves body clearance yet still handles just as well as it did. I also bought a set of four genuine BF All Terrains for it which provide a great drive and look the part. They are a little larger than standard and fill the arches well. There are only about 2,000 miles on them, and the set cost me more than 500 pounds. It looks very prominant if you park it next to a stock P38 which sits about 3 lower. The car has a professional LPG system so you can use it on gas or unleaded. It’s a proper multi-point one and works lovely. The tank is a spare-wheel type under the floor in the boot. Chassis is very good, the steel is in good order. It’s pretty smart and tidy inside. The body and paint is nice. Only recently got a big new Bosch battery for it. It’s a lovely car. The 4.0 V8 has a lovely burble. I think the 4.0 is a better bet than the 4.6 version, which is hardly any more powerful and seems a lot less reliable. The Bad Bits Unfortinately, when driving home late one night a couple of weeks ago the oil light came on (I knew it had enough oil) and about 60 second later the engine got very upset. I pulled over and called the AA to tow me home. I had my mechanic look at it and he told me a bit of sludge in the sump had been sucked into the oil pump and caused the top of the engine to be staved of oil, causing quite a bit of damage. He said he could fix it or swap the engine for another one, but couldn’t do it for me for a while as he is very busy. But it will be a good project for somebody with the time to either swap out the engine for another unit or rebuild the current engine. So it’s definately worth doing, as its a great car. But no point me doing it. Only other bad bits really are the headlining is a bit saggy, common on these but very easy to fix if it bothers you. There is a small amount of paint damage at the bottom of one of the doors, never bothered me but apart from that the body is very good. Will need to be taken away on a trailer. I expect you to pay for it promptly but it’s not in the way so if you need time to organise a trailer then that’s no problem.
