Here is a complete 4.6 Gems V8 engine removed from a Range Rover p38. I have been dismantling range rovers for over 8 years and Im not joking when I say this is one of the quietest V8s Ive ever heard there is no whining from any of the pulley, pumps or anything it really is a sweet lump. This engine has come from a 1997 p38 and as you can see by the last pic shes only displaying 107k miles and by the sound of this engine I have no reason to disbelieve the speedo. The car this came from was parked up for a while due to gearbox issues and with a good battery she burst into life pretty much instantly. This is a perfect engine if your doing a build project or as a replacement please dont ask if it comes with an ecu because the Range Rover ecus will not run on there own they are linked to the BECM so you will either have to run a MEGASQUIRT ecu or something similar or a lot of my customers put them on carbs.
