Here is a 4.6 V8 Turner engineering top hat liner engine removed from a Range Rover P38. I spoke to Turner engineering when I removed the engine to find out when the block had its top hat liner conversion and she confirmed that the block was re manufactured in January 2017 and had top hat liners fitted along with replacement big end and main bearings, camshaft bearings and also replacement piston rings. As you can see I removed the heads and cleaned and painted the block with Eastwoods Aluma Blast aluminium paint, fitted new water pump, new head gaskets and bolts, genuine oil filter, new core plug temperature stickers etc etc. There was no issues with this engine whatsoever and I believe it has only done around 40k miles since it was re manufactured in 2017. The rocker covers are not great but look very presentable. This is a fantastic build opportunity for someone and will be an amazing engine when fitted. Here is a 5 speed manual gearbox and transfer box removed from a range rover 2.5 diesel p38. This is in a good working condition and I drove the vehicle around the industrial estate that we are on and showed no signs of any issues at all and selected all gears. Unfortunately the radiator was leaking water into the lower oil cooler section for the gearbox and even though it drove fine when we drained the oil it came out like mayonnaise. I have drained as much of it out as I can but obviously the internals are still coated in it so it is either going to need a good flush out or fill it with oil and drive it for a short distance and then drain it out and change it again. PLEASE NOTE ALL ENGINE NUMBERS WILL BE LOGGED AND BLOCKS AND HEADS WILL BE MARKED BY ME BEFORE SENDING OUT AS SOMEONE HAS TRIED TO RETURN THERE OLD ENGINE TO ME CLAIMING THAT IT IS THE ENGINE THAT I SENT AND IT WAS NO GOOD. LUCKILY FOR ME I HAVE ALL PICTURES TO SHOW ITS NOT MY ENGINE. WE HAVE BEEN DISMANTLING P38s FOR AROUND 10 YEARS AND ALL ENGINES ARE TESTED THE BEST WE CAN BY DRIVING THEM AND RUNNING THEM FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. IF AN ENGINE IS UNTESTED IT WILL SAY THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION. I WILL HELP ANYBODY WHO NEEDS IT BUT DONT TAKE ME FOR A MUG AS IT WONT HAPPEN. Here is a complete engine removed from a 1997 range rover 2.5 p38. This is in a good used condition and showed 143k miles on the clock.
