Range Rover P38 4.0 Hse 1999 Spare Or Repairs. Car was bought in 2023 to put back on the roads as car drives good for its age and milage. Unfortunately due to a divorce and my mam passing away it’s got left. It’s been sorted in a container but I don’t have time to put it back on the roads so it’s up for sale. It’s a 4.0 v8. Does start but has a misfire. Fitted with lpg system. Black leather interior and has dvd plays in the head rests but these are aftermarket. Car comes with private registration aswell. The P38 Range Rover suffer many problems, lots are caused by the BECM unit sittuated under the drivers seat. This can cause non starting, loss of centrall locking, various warnings displayed on the instrument panel. We have the equipment and know how to repair, modify and unlock the BECM. We can also match new or used Becm to different vehicles and change engine ecu’s to enable used engine ecu’s to be connected to different vehicles. To reset or unlock the becm, we have to remove it from the vehicle and connect a computer to the internal electronics. Spare / Refurbished Becm’s usually available from stock. Option 1 You can remove the BECM and send it to us, test, reset or repair, 24 hour turn around. Option 2 You can remove the BECM and bring it to us (Postcode RH16 2HZ) we will test it repair/reset it while you wait. Range Rover P38 4.6 Vogue LPG. Listing as spares repairs due to gearbox fault. Car drives OK and has been like this for 10K’s of miles but needs a replacement gearbox to make it fault free. Bad points: Gearbox as mentioned. Crack in rear bumper. Air suspension leak (it raises and lowers OK but goes down overnight) 2 months MOT. General Grabber tyres all round with few thousand miles in them. Owned by me for last 4 years. Engine Oil changed every 5 or 6K miles. Drive away bargain if you know P38’s and can yourself. For all those who’ve asked. The Gearbox has an inverted sprag clutch (you have to pull off in 1st) and the transfer chain skips at peak torque (will still pull a caravan but needs doing). All electrics work inc sunroof, mirrors etc. Side steps fitted, 3 inch body lift, part polybushed, Recently refurbished 19in alloys with good tyres. Runs and drives great in all gears.
