This listing is for working Range Rover P38 Clarion Diversity Radio PRC7618. The LCD screen is in excellent condition and makes this radio very very rare as the screens always fail and are now completely obsolete. The radio has been professionally serviced by Clarion in 2014 with a replacement screen. The back light to the the LCD screen has been upgraded to LED light which doesn’t get so hot and will keep the screen in perfect condition. Included is the front facia with all 3 out of 4 tabs remaining. I have cut off some wiring harness to assist if required. If you want to keep the steering wheel functions and originality of your P38 this is the radio to have. New screens are completely obsolete. Grab a very rare item.

Here is a joblot of 3 genuine diversity stereos removed from early p38s. These are in a used condition and untested but looking at the screens I would say all of the displays need replacing. Date of manufacture : 1999. Anti-theft code card + trim plate + original mounting frame (part no: 300 9550) supplied. The radio pictured is the radio you will receive : Serial Number CR0154W0034223. PLEASE NOTE Its common for the LCD screen to fade (due to age) – The part is now obsolete. These systems are rare in this condition. If you see a faded grey / clear screen (walk away) — With the power turned off the screen should be shiny + jet black. The radio is “Totally Passive” – This means it has no internal amplifier – The output is low as it uses external amplifiers in the doors of the vehicle + boot to produce hi-level sound. This makes it really hard to replace with aftermarket product – so again making it very sort after & ideal if you want to keep things original. I made up a test lead & ran the unit through a small 2 channel amplifier – it sounds as good as it looks (see pic 12). Comes fully serviced – Tape heads cleaned + set. There’s 2 locking pins missing from the trim plate The trim still locks into place fine (nice + tight). All model + serial numbers are kept on file.
