Their slotted design increases braking efficiency by reducing dust, debris, water and gas on the disc. To improve brake cooling, reduce weight and to offer an escape route for dirt and gasses theses discs are drilled with rows of holes. These are an excellent upgrade for your Land Rover to aid braking, especially under a heavy load. Ideal for off-road use. Manufactured to British Standard BS1452 Grade 220 and DIN1691 GG20. While its common to fit these in conjunction with performance brake pads too, these pads are usually developed for a higher maintained braking temperature than Land Rovers usually achieve. As a result it can often be better to use high quality standard pads which will give a much better bite at cooler temperatures, which can really benefit off road use.
